I could never imagine a world without music, and I could never imagine myself living in that kind of world. How can I relax or get into the right mood if there is no music? Impossible! For me personally, it is the most exceptional form of art I know. The impacts made on people appreciating it are what made music special.

Take Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die as an example – as the first studio album released after Juice’s death, it is sensational how amazing the entire album is. It debuted at number one on US Billboard 200 in its first week; 17 of the 22 songs charted on the Billboard Hot 100, with 5 entering the Top 10 -- making the album the most successful posthumous release in 20 years. Despite his physical death, Juice is never dead to me. He inspired me, and his legacy will live on forever.
So how does this actually work? How can “Legends Never Die” -- the voice of a deceased artist -- have such a huge impact on me? I think it’s all related to the artist himself.
Juice WRLD, a singer, rapper, and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. His childhood was a total nightmare -- parents divorced and became a heavy drug user himself in high school. To most people, this kind of situation could only have a negative impact. They would have been totally correct, if not talking about Juice WRLD. These experiences of the lowest points of his life played an extensive role in his music career.
Just like his other albums, Legends Never Die talks about lots of issues in the world that Juice has experienced, those which I’m also facing -- heartbreaks, relationships, money, substance abuse, anxiety, and the list goes on. (Fun fact: Juice WRLD likes to freestyle everything – this is what makes his music so authentic and relatable -- he follows his mind’s flow).
I feel so relieved discovering that there are people in this world dealing with hardships just like many of my personal ones. This kind of feeling is more than precious. Knowing someone like Juice WRLD and being able to listen to his stories, looking into things from a different perspective, gaining comments from veterans like him, and then work out all the difficulties the way Juice did. What else besides music can give you that?
I can’t think of anything.
For me, there is nothing in the world as beautiful and personal as music. And I cannot find a way to describe this enough with words. Pretty obvious that the only way to truly and fully understand it is to listen to Juice WRLD’s music and personally feel how extraordinary it is.
